Inspired by the creativity of our fellow artisans all around the world, the fashionable and durable baskets by nomadic tribe in East Malaysia, chic and trendy handwoven rattan accessories from the villagers in Bali, or even elegant hand-embroidered dinner clutch from India.

These skills are commonly passed down from generation to generation, while some learnt, they are sometimes forgotten and undervalued in our 20th century modern world.

The tradition of craftsmanship, the weaving of baskets and textiles, each of the handpicked items on Tribal Place showcases the artisans’ skills with its own story to tell.

These are the reasons why we are driven to empower and support the artisans community.  We connect you to these skilled artisans from all over Asia and make their products available for enthusiasts who appreciates the value of handmade, local arts and crafts.

Our partners and suppliers are small businesses, artisans who make them at home and sell by word of mouth, or up and coming young entrepreneurs who acquired skills from their parents and grandparents.
